Stabbing incident on Friendsville

On 6-14-2018 at approximately 2007 hours, Troopers from the McHenry Barrack responded to a residence on second street in Friendsville, MD, for the report of a domestic disturbance involving a knife. Upon arrival, Troopers discovered a stabbing victim, who was later identified as Jeremy Main. Witnesses advised the suspect, who they identified as Brian Allen Boomer Jr, left the residence and barricaded himself in a garage/living area, which is also located on the property. Troopers secured the area. A short time later Troopers were able to convince the suspect to exit the garage. The suspect was then taken into custody without further incident. Deputies from the Garrett County Sheriff’s Department also responded and assisted. The victim was transported by ambulance to Ruby Memorial Hospital, where he remains in intensive care. The Maryland State Police Crime Scene responded and processed the scene. This case is currently under investigation by the Maryland State Police Western Region Criminal Investigation Division.
