State Highway Administration Ready For Winter Weather

Winter is on the way and the State Highway Administration says they are ready to fight whatever Mother Nature throws at the Free State. At the annual snow show held at the State Highway complex, State Highway Administrator, Melinda Peters said that when bad weather hits and SHA crews are clearing state roads, motorists should not "crowd the plow".  During bad storms, Peters asks Maryland motorists not to drive. Peters says that the state is responsible for clearing 17,818 lane miles of highways around Maryland. Up to 2,400 pieces of equipment are available to fight winter weather….
