At approximately 840 this morning, troopers from the Maryland State Police Cumberland Barracks attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 1999 Audi bearing a Maryland registration plate. The driver attempted to flee, and a short vehicle pursuit ensued. Aviation was called and responded. The vehicle was spike stripped in the area of I-68 east bound at Fifteen Mile Creek Rd, Flintstone, Maryland. The suspect then fled on foot and the investigation is still on going.
