State Senator Brian Frosh To Run For Office Of Attorney General

WBAL reports that one of Maryland’s more liberal lawmakers has announced he will run for the office of Attorney General. State Senator Brian Frosh, a Montgomery County Democrat has been a state senator since 1995- and chairman of the powerful Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee since 2003. The senator took the leading role in advocating for a sweeping gun-control measure in the Senate in the last session. He was also Senate floor leader in the debate over the repeal of the death penalty. Frosh also says he has been a strong advocate for the environment and consumers during his time in the Legislature. The senator says he will bring those same qualities and commitments to the office of the attorney general…
