State Trooper Injured in Hagerstown Accident

On 3/16/17 at approximately 0811hrs the Maryland State Police responded to the intersection of S. Potomac Street and Memorial Boulevard for a report of a Trooper involved collision.  The 2014 Chevrolet Caprice was traveling North on S. Potomac Street.  The Nissan Murano was traveling East on Memorial Boulevard.   The collision occurred within the intersection and both vehicles came to rest on the Northwest corner of the intersection. 

 

      The Maryland State Police are still investigating the collision and attempting to locate a male who was on the scene immediately following the collision.  The man was described as a white male, with a dark beard wearing a white ball cap.  The male advised that he witnessed the collision and would call the police at a later time to give his statement; however the State Police have not yet been contacted.

Driver Injured—Master Trooper A. Butler, 38, Hagerstown, MD
