Stolen car arrest made in Cresaptown

On July 3, 2018 at approximately 10:00 am the Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack received a call for a female subject acting suspicious in the parking lot of the Timbrook dealership on Winchester Road. A Trooper responded to the dealership however the female left prior to the Trooper’s arrival and could not be located. Several minutes later Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack received a second call for a Nissan Xterra that was just stolen from Eaton Young Galleries on Winchester Road. Troopers responded to the area and searched for the stolen vehicle. A short time later, the stolen Nissan Xterra was located by a Maryland State Trooper at the Sheetz store in Cresaptown.  A female suspect walking from the store attempted to enter the stolen vehicle and was confronted by the Trooper. The subject matched the same description as given earlier by witnesses. The female resisted arrest and after a brief struggle was placed into custody without further incident.

 

The suspect is identified as Nicolle Hebb, 26, of Thomas, WV.  She is charged with Motor Vehicle Theft, Resisting Arrest, 2nd Degree Assault on Law Enforcement Officer, Disorderly Conduct, Theft from Vehicle, Driving on Out of State Revoked Privilege and Driving without a License. Hebb is currently awaiting a bond review hearing at the Allegany County District Court Commissioners Office
