Storms Congregate At County Line

WCBC is monitoring a cluster of storms located just west of Frostburg.

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Garrett County in western Maryland...

* Until 545 PM EDT.

* At 237 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain in the warned area.

  FLASH FLOODING...     Expected.

  ESTIMATED RAINFALL... Up to 1 inch.

  ADDITIONAL RAINFALL...Up to 1 inch.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
  Big Run State Park...             New Germany...
  Merrill...                        Piney Grove...

This includes  Interstate 68 in Maryland between mile markers 22 and
30.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

Flooding is occurring or imminent. It is important to know where you
are relative to streams and rivers. Campers and hikers should avoid
streams.
