The next primary election in Maryland is almost a year away but two people have already filed for Allegany County Commissioner and a third is ready to take the plunge. Incumbents Bill Valentine and Creade Brodie, Jr., both Republicans, have filed to run again. Tom Striplin, a Democrat, tells WCBC News that he should be filing for the race soon.
Striplin lost the race by just 47 votes in 2010.
