Ten Displaced By Accidental Fire On Virginia Avenue

Cumberland Fire Marshal Shannon Adams has ruled last night's Virginia Avenue fire as accidental, started by smoking materials near combustibles on the back porch.

The local chapter of the American Red Cross is assisting ten residents displaced by damage to apartments associated with the properties.

About 70 firefighters assisted Cumberland fire figthers in fighting the blaze, which spread from 823 to 825 Virginia Avenue and affected the operational headquarters of Queen City Taxi.
