Terrapin Run Litigation Coming To An End

The Cumberland Times News reports that lengthy litigation surrounding the Terrapin Run development is coming to an end, at least temporarily.  The Allegany County commissioners signed off on a stipulation last week, which if approved by the Allegany County Circuit Court, would dismiss the case and allow the developers to try to sell off the property. , County Attorney William Rudd said  Allegany County and the developers were fighting against the Maryland Department of the Environment and state planning officials, who were denying needed permits for the development.. The case ended up in mediation and the stipulation is a result of that mediation, which involved Rudd, Commissioner Bill Valentine and other county staff.  Rudd says the agreement means the property can now be sold anytime in the next two years…
