The Cumberland City Police and C3I Criminal Unit are currently investigating a theft of jewelry from a business in the 100 block of Virginia Ave. On December 22, 2013 the Cumberland City Police were contacted in reference to a theft complaint. Officers responded and found that rings had been stolen from the business. A potential suspect has been identified and being sought for questioning. WCBC News has learned that the theft actually involved an individual apparently removing jewelry from a deceased person during a funeral home viewing.
