On 03.26.2018 at approximately 2:13 AM Deputies of The Allegany County Sheriff's Office were on routine patrol in the area of Park Street in Cumberland, MD. when they observed 3 persons that appeared to be involved in an altercation.
The deputy stopped to investigate the incident when one of the three threw a bag to the ground. The deputy retrieved the bag and observed it to contain multiple smaller bags of suspected crack cocaine.
Pursuant to the investigation the following were charged in the incident:
Cordaro Artez Crowder-26 years old of Baltimore, MD
Possession of Crack Cocaine
Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS
Contributing to the Condition of a Minor
Obstruction of Justice
James Eric Sutton Jr-31 years old of Baltimore, MD
Possession of Crack Cocaine
Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS
Contributing to the Condition of a Minor
Obstruction of Justice
Unnamed Juvenile-
Possession of Crack Cocaine
Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS
The juvenile was released to a family member pending juvenile court. The adults were detained at The Allegany County Detention Center pending an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
