School Board candidates address Foote’s removal

May 28th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

The primary election in Maryland is next Tuesday and the only local race with real competition is the Allegany County Board of Education.  WCBC Radio broadcast a candidate forum Wednesday evening as nine candidates are looking to make the general election in November when six candidates will remain.  The seats up for election are those of Dr. David Bohn, Tammy Fraley, and Dr. Ed Root and all three incumbents are seeking election.  Dr. Root was appointed to the board seat vacated when Wayne Foote was removed from the board and Root said the case was overwhelming.

Challenger Linda Widmyer did not agree.

Why does a radio station post links to audio that doesn’t work?

Dr. David Bohn showed last night at WCBC’s candidate forum how serious he takes his seat on the board. Why should we vote for someone who can’t even show up to ask for my vote? Next!

If Deb and Tammy haven’t been able to get rid of Bohn or Root by this time it means that they are being very compliant or they are hiding under their desks during meetings.
