Tips For Food Supply Storage During A Power Outage

The winter storm expected to hit the region this morning is forecast as a combination of rain and snow which often times is a recipe for downed power and phone lines- and outages.  Allegany County Emergency Services Director Dick Devore said that one area of concern when power goes is a person’s food supply. Given that it’s a winter storm and temperatures are expected in the 30’s- storing food outside is a viable option.
