Tomblin Orders Additional Budget Cuts

November 20th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin this week ordered state agencies to cut their budgets by two percent, in light of anticipated revenues falling behind by $87 million since July.

The cuts include an $11 million cut in the school aid formula, and a one time $25 million reduction to Medicaid.

Worse news is that the situation is not expected to improve.
