Traffic Stop Leads To CDS Arrest

On Saturday, October 25, 2014 the Cumberland Police Department arrested Ashley Lynn Bucklew for possession of CDS.  An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle after observing several traffic violations on Industrial Boulevard.  Bucklew was a passenger in the vehicle.  A K-9 scan was conducted of the vehicle which resulted in a positive alert for the presence of CDS.  The vehicle was searched and drug paraphernalia and CDS were located.  Bucklew advised that both items were hers.  Bucklew was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters for processing.  Once at Police Headquarters Bucklew’s purse was searched and additional CDS was located.  Bucklew was taken to District Court for her initial appearance and was released on her personal recognizance by a District Court Commissioner.

One count each of possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia.

On 9-28-2012 Trooper C.W.Miller from the Cumberland Barrack  Special Enforcement Team stopped a  2008 Kia operated by Angelo Carlton, 24 years old of Cumberland for a speeding violation. The vehicle was also occupied by Tiffany Wagstaff of Baltimore, Md. During the course of the traffic stop a search of the vehicle revealed  the discovery of approximately $1600.00 worth of crack cocaine. Both were charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. Carlton was also charged with driving on a suspended license. Carlton was held on $25,000 bond and Wagstaff was released on her personal recognizance.
