Traffic Stop Leads To CDS Arrests

On Friday, August 26, 2016, a Cumberland City Officer was on patrol in the 200 block of Decatur Street and stopped a vehicle for displaying expired out of state registration.  The officer made contact with the driver, Kaiyelle Nicholas Hardy and made him aware for the reason of the stop.  While speaking with Hardy, the officer detected an odor of suspected marijuana coming from the vehicle.  Also inside the vehicle were passengers Naquan Olonzoe Stannard, and Dayon Iraill Neal.  A search of the vehicle was conducted and a quantity of suspected marijuana was located in the possession of both Stannard and Neal.  Stannard and Neal were issued citations for the possession of marihuana.  The driver, Kaiyelle Hady’s license was suspended and he was issued citations for driving on a suspended license and driving on expired registration.  All three were release pending trial with District Court.

 

Kaiyelle Nicholas Hardy, age: 19, Upper Marlboro, MD.

 

Citations:  Driving on a suspended license and driving with expired registration.

 

Naquan Olonzoe Stannard, age: 18, Bowie, MD.

 

Citation:  Possession of marijuana under 10 grams.

 

Dayon Iraill Neal, age: 19, Mitchellville, MD.

 

Citation:  Possession of marijuana under 10 grams.
