Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Bust

April 21st, 2018 by WCBC Radio

On Friday evening just before 7 pm  a state trooper assigned to the Cumberland barrack conducted a traffic stop on a black 2003 Hyundai Accent that was not displaying any registration.  During contact with the occupants, a strong odor of marijuana was detected.  A search of the vehicle revealed 2921 grams (6.43 lbs) of suspected marijuana in the trunk.  The 35 year old male driver and a 28 year old female passenger, both of Philadelphia, PA, were arrested and transported to the Cumberland Barracks for processing.
