Allegany County Transit personnel will participate in an Employee In-Service Training Day on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. Therefore, public transportation services will not be offered by Allegany County Transit. There will not be any fixed route bus service and para-transit (Alltrans) service will not operate.
Allegany County Transit is pro-active and reviews all aspects of safety twice a year as part of Allegany County Transit’s Safety, Security, and Emergency Preparedness Plan. All employees participate in an eight-hour training session. This important employee training benefits all passengers. J & J Consulting, Cumberland and Oakland, will provide the instructors. The training will be held at the Allegany County Fairgrounds in the Multi-Purpose Building.
