Twigg Comments on Stiffer Penalties for Students Leaving Threatening Messages

In recent weeks there have been a number of threatening messages found in area schools- and it is something that has become all too common during the past few years. In the overwhelming majority of these instances, the student responsible is quickly identified and then subject to punishment by both the legal system and the school system.  With the number of incidents on the rise, it seems those penalties aren’t serving as a strong deterent.  Allegany County State’s Attorney Mike Twigg says there are some stiffer penalties that can be applied by his office if formal charges are filed…
