Two Arrested On Drug And Weapons Charges

On 7/22/12 Troopers from the Maryland State Police Cumberland Barracks, with the assistance of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the area of Railroad tracks near East Florida Way, Lonaconing, MD for a suspicious person’s causing a noise disturbance.  Two subjects were contacted and identified as Jason Jeffries, 24, and Brandi Buskirk, 24, both of Lonaconing, MD.  They were still causing a disturbance upon the arrival of Troopers.  During the investigation, Troopers located drug paraphernalia on both individuals.  Jeffries was also in possession of a straight edged knife with an eight inch blade.  Both individuals were arrested and transported to the Cumberland Barracks for processing.  Jeffries was charged with “Wearing and Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon”, “Disturb the Peace”, and 3 counts of “Possession of CDS Paraphernalia”, and “Possession of CDS Marijuana”.  Buskirk was charged with “Disturb the Peace”, “Possession of CDS Paraphernalia”, and “Possession of CDS Marijuana”.
