Two children and infant injured in car crash

On Wednesday  the Allegany County Sheriff's Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on New Georges Creek Road near Midland, Maryland. I vehicle was observed off the southbound side of the roadway head-on into a tree. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Wade Eston Alt, 23 of Barton.  Also passengers in the vehicle at the time of the collision were Mr. Alt's three children were in the vehicle ages 4, 3 and an infant.  All occupants had been removed from the vehicle and were being treated by EMS personnel on scene.  Mr. Alt's driving privileges in the state of West Virginia were currently suspended.  Mr. Alt and his children were transported to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center by ambulance. Reeve's Towing arrived on scene and removed the vehicle.  

    Mr. Alt advised he was directing his attention to the children and apparently ran off the roadway, striking the tree.
None of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.
