Two Doctors Charged with Murder in Late-Term Abortions

Two out-of-state doctors who performed late-term abortions in Maryland have been arrested and charged with multiple counts of murder under the state's viable fetus law according to authorities. According to WBAL News and the Herald-Mail, Dr. Steven Brigham, of Voorhees, N.J and Dr. Nicola Riley were arrested this week. Each is awaiting an extradition hearing. The two doctors were indicted by a grand jury after a 16-month investigation that included a search of an Elkton, Maryland clinic. Brigham is being charged with five counts of first degree murder.
