U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops Acknowledge That Voters Rejected Stands On Hot Issues

A subdued U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops acknowledged this week that voters rejected the stands they took against gay marriage and birth control, but church leaders are giving no sign they will change their strategy ahead. Same-sex marriage supporters made a four-state sweep of ballot measures last week, despite intensive advocacy by Roman Catholic bishops in favor of traditional marriage. Bishops also spoke out sharply against President Barack Obama's mandate that most employers provide health insurance that covers artificial contraception. In Maryland, the same sex marriage law supported by Governor Martin O’Malley was supported by a 52% – $8% margin. The Governor has emphasized repeatedly that religious freedoms are protected under the Maryland law, noting that a church or member of the clergy still has the right to refuse to perform a same sex marriage…

    I hope all Churches Refuse to do same sex unions then it will show O`Malley that, God and people with common sense stand together.It say in the Bible Marriage is beween ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN (PERIOD NO EXECPTIONS) GOD RULES!!!!!! Election OR NOT !!!!!
