According to the U.S. Labor Department, 170,000 jobs were added last month; however, the unemployment rate rose to 7.9% in the month of October as well. Both presidential candidates have used unemployment numbers and job creation for their campaigns and these latest numbers may provide a basis for both to make last ditch efforts to attract undecided voters.
