At approximately 1:45 a.m. Thursday morning, Allegany County Emergency Services dispatched fire and EMS units to a working house fire in the 700 block of Shawnee Avenue in Cumberland. According to Emergency Management, an electrical issue on the rear of the building started the fire, which was contained quickly by several local fire units. Crews cleared the scene at approximately 3:55 a.m. No injuries were reported at the scene.
