The Mineral County Sheriff's Department has confirmed to WCBC News that there was a shooting incident, apparently domestic in nature, in the Short Gap area Wednesdaymorning. At this point, as it is an actie, ongoing investigation, that is all police are willing to release. WCBC News has learned that the incident was between two women, with one shooting the other with a 22 gauge shotgun. A child was on the scene at the time of the incident. Although WCBC News has obtained the names of the individuals involved, they are being with held as to not to interfere with the investigation. There is no information available on the victim nor the status of any criminal charges.
