Allegany County Commissioner Bill Valentine tells WCBC News that he would like to see increased cooperation on a number of levels between the county and the city of Cumberland- but some recent efforts in economic development proved disappointing. The city and county had been working together on economic development – however Valentine said that didn’t prove sustainable as the city wasn’t as transparent as the commissioner felt was necessary for a partnership.
