Veterans Day Parade in Keyser

The annual Keyser Veterans Day Parade will be led by two area World War II veterans — Clifton Brooks Sr. and Chester Koneful — today starting at noon. The parade is hosted by Boyce-Houser Post 41 American Legion. Brooks, of Keyser, is the last surviving West Virginia member of the Tuskegee Airmen. Koneful, of Maysville, served as a gunner/radio operator on B-26 bombers.  Lineup for the parade will begin at 11 a.m. on South Newton Street between South Main and South Water streets. A Veterans Day program with a luncheon to follow will be held at Queens Point Veterans of Foreign Wars in McCoole on Nov. 11 at 1 p.m.
