VFDs Battle Carlos Road Garage Fire

Nearly four dozen volunteer firemen responded to a working garage fire on Carlos Road late Saturday morning.

Here is the report from Shaft VFD on the incident, along with a photo from their Facebook page…

Shaft – Carlos Road, Working Garage Fire – Box area 17-03 was dispatched at 11:31 AM for a garage fire. 

Prior to units arriving on scene, the incident was upgraded to the working fire assignment. Engine-Rescue 1-7-1 arrived on scene and obtained its own water supply while making an attack on side “A” of the structure with two hand lines and providing a supply line to Truck 16. Engine 1-7-2 obtained its own water supply and made an attack on side “C” of the structure.

Other units responding to the scene included Engine 1-8-1, Tanker 18, Engine 1-6-2, Ambulance 517, Engine 25-13 (Air Unit), Engine 81, Engine 2-0-1, and Squad 22. Engine 1-5-2 and Quint Rescue 8 stood by at Station 17.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investing the cause and origin of the fire. Chief 17 had command.
