Victims identified in fatal Garrett Shortcut crash

The Cumberland Times News reports two people killed in a head-on collision late Friday on the Garrett Shortcut Road in Brothersvalley Township have been identified as a Berks County couple, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

 

Kevin Reese, 39, and Kimberly Reese, 43, both of Shillington, were pronounced dead at the scene of the 9 p.m. crash that occurred on the Garrett Shortcut Road.

 

Police said the couple were traveling on the roadway when a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction crossed the center line and struck their vehicle head-on.

The occupants of the other vehicle were identified as Jeremiah Klejka, 22, the driver; Brenton Musto, 21, and Tate Bell, 20, all of Somerset. All three men were injured and two of them were taken to Conemaugh Memorial Hospital in Johnstown for treatment of unspecified injuries.
