Victims Identified in Investigation into Potomac Center Abuse

The investigation continues into the alleged abuse of children at the Potomac Center in Romney with approximately 12 victims identified ranging in age from 7 to 17. According to the West Virginia State Police, the alleged physical and sexual abuse may have started up to 18 months before the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources report. On January 16th and 17th, 24 children were removed from the Potomac Center by DHHR officials. The Potomac Center is a DHHR contractor and not a state-run facility.
