Cumberland now has a new office offering veterans help with post-traumatic stress disorder, making the transition to civilian life and family counseling. The Vietnam Veterans’ Community Access Center was recently established at 205 Baltimore Avenue is similar to one that opened last year in Frederick. The centers are separate from U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ hospitals and do not share veterans’ information with any federal agency. Greg Edens, Veterans’ Outreach Specialist, told the City Council that the center is needed in Cumberland because of a growing need for local services for a large Vietnam veteran population…
