The City of Cumberland Engineering Department would like to notify the public on the behalf of CSX Transportation that the Virginia Avenue underpass will be reduced to one lane between 9am-3pm from Tuesday, September 29, 2020, through next Friday, October 9, 2020. CSX will be making repairs to the concrete sidewalk and handrails within the underpass.
This schedule may change due to weather conditions. The road will be flagged between Industrial Boulevard and Queen Street during construction. Pedestrians are urged to avoid the area during construction hours.
