“Wanted” Keyser woman arrested during traffic stop

August 2nd, 2016 by WCBC Radio

A Keyser woman was arrested early Monday during a traffic stop when Keyser Police learned she was wanted in nearby Allegany County on a bench warrant on file since 2012. The Cumberland Times News reports Eileen M. Seifert, 32, was stopped for alleged speeding at about 12:45 a.m. Monday at South Mineral and Lincoln streets. She was arrested as a fugitive from justice and then taken to the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail in Augusta. She was released Monday after posting $500 cash bond set by Mineral County Magistrate Pat Amoroso.

The charge stemmed from a bench warrant on file for Seifert in Allegany County for alleged failure to appear in court on a charge of theft under $100. A routine license check by police led to discovery of the outstanding warrant.

Police said Seifert was issued a warning for the alleged speeding violation.
