At about 1 PM Saturday, a Cumberland Police Officer observed a subject that was confirmed to be wanted on an arrest warrant out of Washington County for" Arson Threats." The subject was identified as, Devin Linaweaver, W/M, DOB 9-7-94 of Hagerstown, Md.
When the officer made contact with Linaweaver and advised him he was under arrest Linaweaver began to fight and resist the officer. During the struggle, Linaweaver attempted to disarm the officer and removed several items from the Officer’s belt and uniform, at one point cutting the officers face. Officers from MSP, ACSO and CPD responded and assisted in making the arrest. Linaweaver was treated at WMHS where he began to yell and disrupt normal operations and at one point kicked over a computer. Once discharged he was transported to CPD.
During the above incident a second unrelated subject approached the officer during the struggle and began yelling and attempting to interfere on behalf of Linaweaver. The subject was arrested and identified as Dustin Thomas Walk, W/M, DOB 7-5-97, Cumberland, MD.
Walk and Linaweaver are being held at the Cumberland Police Department awaiting bond hearings.

Charges: Assault on Police, Attempted 1st Degree Assault, Attempting to Disarm a Police Officer, Reckless Endangerment, Disturbing the Peace, Destruction of Property (2cts), Disorderly Conduct.
Dustin Thomas Walk, W/M, DOB 7-5-97, Cumberland, MD.
Charges: Obstructing and Hindering, Interfering with a Lawful Arrest.
