The Maryland State Fire Marshal's office has issued a preliminary report on a Saturday morning fire at a residence in Keddysville in Washington County. The blaze was discovered by a passerby at a home under renovation on Red Hill Road and did about $40,000 in damage. 74 firemen responded to the scene and had the fire under control in less than an hour.
