This week’s meeting of the Cumberland Mayor and City Council once again saw a large number of Washington Street residents on hand hoping to get an update on the CSX owned bridge on that street that has been closed since last year. At a meeting earlier this month City Administrator Jeff Rhodes said that the Baltimore Street bridge had jumped to the top of the city’s priority list- however the city was still exploring options to repair and re-open the Washington Street structure.
