Waterways Rise, But Flooding Not Expected

June 11th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

With all of the rain we’ve had, the local rivers and streams are running at almost bank full.

The Potomac River, in Cumberland, was running at about 11 feet this morning, which is just below where authorities would consider recommending taking action.

Wills Creek was at 9 and a half feet, just shy of flood stage, but is expected to fall.
