West Side Residents Voice Frustration Over Lack Of Action On Bridges

Another contentious meeting of the Cumberland Mayor and City Council on Tuesday with  a handful of West Side residents once again voicing frustration over the lack of action with regards to the three closed CSX bridges. The city will be meeting next Tuesday with CSX representatives to continue negotiations toward finding a way to re-open the Fayette, Cumberland and Washington street bridges. In recent weeks the city has been accused of not prioritizing the Washington Street bridge- with some feeling the city already has plans to permanent close that structure- while moving forward with replacing and re-opening the other bridges.  Those accusations have not sat well with Mayor Brian Grim who debated the point with Washington Street resident Terry Murphy…
