West Virginia Cracks Down on Child Abuse

The West Virginia House of Delegates Women’s Caucus is asking that state troopers have increased training for spotting signs of child-related offenses. According to the Cumberland Times-News, the Select Committee on Crimes Against Children introduced four pieces of legislation regarding offenses against children. Within the legislation is adding a criminal offense to possession of child pornography, amending a bill for child abuse including bodily injury or death, amending child neglect laws and amending a court’s ability to limit visitation rights.
