It was less than two months ago that West Virginia Governor Jim Justice appointed Dr Michael Brumage as the director of the Office of Drug Control Policy.
On Friday, Brumage resigned from the position, a few weeks after having to defend a needle exchange program that he initiated three years ago in Charleston.
His deputy takes over the job for now.
