Westernport drug arrests leading to jail time

Two Baltimore men were sentenced to lengthy prison terms recently in Allegany County Circuit
Court, according to the Allegany County State’s Attorney’s Office. During June and July, the C3I Narcotics Unit began an investigation into the distribution of illicit narcotics in the Westernport area. The investigation culminated in a search and seizure warrant at a Westernport residence where Lamont George Smith, 24, and Timothy Lowell Brown, 22, were arrested.
Smith was found guilty of possession with intent to distribute cocaine. He was sentenced to 20 years within the
Maryland Division of Correction with 10 years suspended. Upon release he will be on probation for five years.
Brown was found guilty of possession with intent to distribute cocaine. He was sentenced to 15 years with seven years
suspended. Upon release he will be on probation for three years.
