Winter Storm Warning Extended, Snow Plan Lifted

The Cumberland Barracks of Maryland State Police lifted the Snow
Emergency Plan at 10:30 AM Sunday.

The National Weather Service has issued the following statement:

WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EST
TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Periods of snow. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8
  inches.

* WHERE...In Maryland, Extreme Western Allegany and Central and
  Eastern Allegany Counties. In West Virginia, Western Mineral
  and Eastern Mineral Counties.

* WHEN...Until midnight EST tonight.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel will be very difficult due to snow
  covered and slippery roads.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency.
