Winter Storm Warning Posted

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BALTIMORE MD/WASHINGTON HAS
ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM
6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 PM EST MONDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO
LONGER IN EFFECT.

* PRECIPITATION TYPE...SNOW...POSSIBLY HEAVY AT TIMES.

* ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 6 INCHES...WITH UP TO 8 INCHES ABOVE 2000
  FEET ELEVATION.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL BEGIN EARLY SUNDAY EVENING AND CONTINUE
  THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL WILL OCCUR
  BETWEEN 10 PM SUNDAY AND LATE MORNING MONDAY.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE UPPER 20S.

* WINDS...EAST 5 TO 10 MPH.

* IMPACTS...ROADS WILL BE SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY WITH
  VISIBILITIES BEING REDUCED TO NEAR ONE-QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.
  THE COMBINATION OF SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LOW VISIBILITY WILL
  MAKE TRAVELING DANGEROUS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.  SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF
SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN
AN EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...
FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.
