The National Weather Service has announced a Winter Weather Advisory for Portions of north central, northern and western Maryland, northwest and western Virginia and eastern and panhandle West Virginia. The advisory is from 11am to 7PM on Monday.
A wintry mix expected, with either freezing rain or rain that will freeze on contact with very cold ground surfaces. The ice will result in very slippery conditions on sidewalks, roads and bridges, including during the evening commute on Monday. Total ice accumulations of a light glaze are expected.
