With the revelation this week that the Baltimore Street bridge is badly deteriorating and in need of repair- Washington Street residents are now being told that that street’s CSX bridge is no longer the city’s top priority. The city currently has several bridges in a deteriorated condition, including the Washington and Cumberland Street bridges, which are currently closed after failing safety inspections. During this week’s council meeting, a number of Washington Street residents sought updates on the CSX bridge including Bud Knell. After learning of the Baltimore Street bridge problem, Knell asked for a status report on Washington Street’s faulty structure…
