On Wednesday, at approximately 9:30 AM, officers from the Cumberland Police Department were dispatched to a Washington Street residence to check on the well-being of a subject who was possibly living there. The Emergency Operations Center received a call from the Crisis Textline who reported that they were receiving threatening texts from a subject who was possibly a danger to the public. This subject was later located downtown. The subject was deemed to be suffering from a medical emergency and transported to the hospital for treatment. There is no threat to the community.
