The West Virginia House of Delegates voted 53-45 early Tuesday afternoon to postpone debate on the ominbus education bill indefinitely.
That vote essentially kills the measure for this session.
West Virginia Teachers went on strike over the contents of the bill, saying they were willing to forego a pay raise and insurance improvements to thwart provisions for charter schools and education savings accounts in the wide ranging proposal.
