Zoning Appeals Board grants 60 day continuance on Wind Farm project

A partial victory in round one for opponants of a planned wind farm atop Dan’s Mountain- as the Allegany County Board of Zoning Appeals granted a 60 day continuance, postponing a planned hearing on the project until early October.  A hearing to grant approval for the controversial project was to begin next Tuesday, however late last week, a motion to postpone the Board of Zoning Appeals hearing was filed  by attorney Matthew Gilmore on behalf of Stanley Lee Skidmore and two other clients. Tuesday’s hearing took a little more than an hour, with attorney’s from both sides making brief presentations and answering questions from board members. Gilmore saying that there simply hasn’t been enough time for landowners in the effected area to adequately prepare a case against the project – requested a six month continuance
